Malrith's Shield --Book Review

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the fantasy world building of this book. The dragon summoner aspect was very interesting.

Sawyer has been ordered to kill all of the dragon summoners, but when he sees Kohaku, he just can't kill him. Kohaku goes into hiding, and hasn't been able to summon his dragon Malrith for more than a year when he meets Sawyer again.

Sawyer and Kohaku embark on a quest to find out what happened to Malrith. Along the way they fall in love.

I give it a 4 stars out of 5. It was a very enjoyable read and interesting enough. The Goodreads and Amazon listing show it to the be the first book in a series (Dreamtide Book 1). I wasn't aware when I started reading this book that it was going to be a part of a series, and it is a complete story in itself so you don't have a cliff hanger ending. I don't know if the author intends to continue the same to characters over another adventure, but I hope so. I liked them together, but so much happened in the first book that I think they need more time together. I'd be willing to read a second book in this series.
