When I felt the first drops of rain, I turned the tractor around and headed back to the shed. There was lightning and thunder and the sky opened. Rain pummeled me. The damn tractor stalled and I got off the seat to see what I could do. Part of me wanted to run for the house, but it wouldn’t be good for the tractor to sit in a downpour. The rain was warm anyway. 

While I tinkered under the hood, the sky seemed to get steadily darker and strong wind gusts began to blow. Oddly, they came straight down. I heard the wind screech wildly and looked up. 

A huge blue dragon filled the sky above me, hovering. Steam came from its enormous nostrils; its large yellow eyes focused unswervingly on me. Wings feathered in sky blue beat the air. Its scaly azure body undulated over me, casting a spell.

I woke from it though when the dragon screeched again, sapphire tongue showing in its wide indigo mouth. I screamed and ran but talons caught me. One set of yellowed nails gripped my shoulder; the second tore at my clothing.
